The VeriSign® gateway consists of two Payflow  product options (Payflow Link® and Payflow Pro®, respectively), and each  product offering is based on the specific requirements associated with a  merchant's business needs and technical expertise. Regardless of which product  a merchant chooses, merchants are given access to the VeriSign Manager and the  Payflow Recurring Billing module, which allow a merchant to charge a customer's  credit card on a periodic and pre-determined basis. Below you will find a brief  description of each VeriSign gateway product offering:  
             
            VeriSign Manager - is a Web-based tool that allows merchants to process  manual transactions (i.e., sales, authorization only, voids and returns), to  set up recurring billing, and complete administration functions, i.e.,  configure security settings, run reports, and download software and  documentation. VeriSign Manager is included with both Payflow Link and Payflow  Pro products.  
             
            Payflow Link - is a payment module designed to meet the needs of a merchant who does not  require a complex solution with high-level functionality. Merchants who have an  existing brochureware Web site and want to add the "Buy Now" button and accept  credit cards online are encouraged to purchase Payflow Link. By adding the  payment button, customers are sent to VeriSign's secure server to collect the  credit card data. Payflow Link supports all major credit and check cards and  purchasing card Level I (Level II is supported with the use of the tax  calculation offered by a shopping cart vendor) and recurring billing.  
             
            Integration consists of incorporating hypertext markup  language (HTML) to a new or existing Web site. Merchants may contact shopping  cart vendors who have integrated the Payflow Link into their shopping cart and  utilize the vendor's expertise and benefit from the functionality of the  shopping cart.  
             
              Payflow Pro - is a scalable and fully customizable payment module that is recommended for  merchants who have a secure server and who want direct control over the payment  functionality. Payflow Pro involves the downloading of the software development  kit (SDK) and implementation of applied programming interface (API). Payflow  Pro supports all major credit and check cards, as well as automated clearing  house (ACH) check service via TeleCheck®, purchasing card Levels I and II and  recurring billing. Merchants may contact shopping cart vendors who have  integrated the Payflow Pro into their shopping cart and utilize the vendor's  expertise and benefit from the functionality of the shopping cart.
